The weather was wonderful for the Super Bad Bike Show. Lot’s a great bikes, lots of fun, and we raised enough to purchase two bike racks for Newport! Thanks to all the participants, Sarai who had the bright idea, and the Newport Car Show who let us share in their day!

Super Bad Bike Show

$5 entry per bike per category
each category will have 3 winning places and will be judged by a panel of 5 judges
each category will have 3 criteria with 10 points available per criteria for a total of 150 possible points. The criteria for each category is listed below.

Categories :
Super Bad (best in show, all bikes automatically entered with entry into another category)(superbadness, style, functionality)

Your Momma’s Bike (1975-1995)(criteria – condition, style, rareness)

Your Momma’s Momma’s Bike (pre 1975)(criteria – condition, style, rareness)

Uno Speedo (single speed)(criteria – originality, style, build quality)

Stupid (anything with pedal power)(criteria – most inventive, style, functionality)

Custom (2 wheel, pedal power, handbuilt frame)(criteria – style, uniqueness, quality)

Please Note: This bicycle show is in conjunction with the Newport Car Show. Bicycles will not be permitted on Monmouth Street during the show, please enter and leave on/with your bicycle via York Street and 7th.    Please be courteous to the car owners and avoid riding near the show cars.
